Transfers Regional Transfer Students

If you are currently a degree-seeking student at one of Pitt’s branch campuses located in Bradford, Greensburg, Johnstown, or Titusville and wish to relocate to the Swanson School of Engineering on the Oakland campus, refer to the following guidelines:

 

Regional Relocation Guidelines

To be considered for admission, students must have:

  • a GPA of at least 2.75.
  • completed a full year (minimum of 34 credits) at a regional campus. Bradford students in the ME or EE programs must complete two years before transferring to the main campus.
  • met all Freshman Engineering Requirements.

If you've met these requirements, complete an Academic Program Change form at the campus you are attending or have attended. Your records will be sent to the Swanson School of Engineering administration office in 749 Benedum Hall. An engineering admissions advisor will review your record promptly, and you will receive a letter stating your admission status. You will also receive notification of the credits that will transfer toward your BS in engineering.


Upon admission to the Swanson School of Engineering you will need to contact the specific department of engineering to which you have been accepted. They will then set up a time for you to meet with an advisor to schedule classes.
